Therapeutic Massage
What are the benefits of Therapeutic Massage?
A therapeutic or holistic massage has many physical and psychological benefits. By relieving muscle pain, increasing joint flexibility, improving blood circulation and lymphatic fluid drainage, and relaxing the nervous system you will, in turn, benefit from better sleep, a more positive outlook and decreased stress levels and an improved range of movement.
Your massage will be luxurious and pampering as well as soothing, de-stressing, stimulating and comforting. Classic Swedish massage techniques are used and I only use excellent quality hypoallergenic oils (currently using coconut or grape seed oils) and aromatherapy products.
What are your goals?
Massage can help with many problems: deeper techniques are used for very tired, overused muscles; drainage techniques are used to stimulate the lymphatic system; we can work on postural muscles that are over worked and strained or we can make it our aim to relax the nervous system to allow the body to relax fully. You may want to feel either invigorated or relaxed.
